yes it will leak you'll need to refill/bleed. unscrew the end closest to the axle, then remove the clip behind the bracket holding the line in place and unscrew that. where safety goggles you don't want to get brake fluid in your eye it sucks.

Nah, it's a super easy job so I wouldn't bother replacing anything else.

Well I've got one spring out but I can't get a new one in. It seems way too arched to connect it to my shackles/main eye bolt. Any ideas? I've dropped the axle pretty low but I'm afraid of the driveshaft disconnecting or my brake line ripping (I couldn't get my old line apart...)

Yea that is true... Haha I actually went out and bought a drill and just got finished. Lol a Dremel woulda been WAY easier but I needed a drill anyway. Not too many other uses for a Dremel. Anyway here's the pics. :D

Run the bolt throught the spring closer to the front of the truck first. You should be able to push the rear shackle out far enough to fit the leaf. thats what i did.

Or use a couple of ratchet straps to pull the axle toward the bed and compress the leaf pack

No room in my garage for an air compressor, I use this to run my air tools in the garage or on the trail.

I had the front in position, but the rear was so arched that it was sitting higher than the frame. You think a ratchet strap pulling the axle backward would compress the pack? I haven't put the u bolts back on yet because I can't get it to line up properly. SO I don't see how the strap would do anything.

Here are the rest of the pics... I just drove around after completing it and it really does improve the sound of the truck! Didn't really notice any real power increase but it still sounds better.

    Look at build!
Normally when I'm rebuilding leaf packs I get both eye bolts in on the shackle and frame side with the Ubolts to the axle un attached then put a ratchet strap around the axle and on one of my slider tubes and ratchet the axle back into place to line up with the center pin

Nice! That's how I did mine too with the drill :p

As far as sound or performance difference I couldn't really notice any sound wise. But I think I'm getting better mpg, not much.

this is what I did too.

I have had my leaf packs off twice now, with no issues reassembling.

I just support the axle with a floor jack, remove the pack. Then when installing, just slip into place, put the front eye bolt in, get the pack into position on the axle (by raising it back up with the floor jack), put on the u-bolts/nuts finger tight, then manipulate the rear shackle and just push the rear eye into position and put in the bolt. Then tighten everything up.
