I made the mistake of walking 18 in some Footjoys out of the box, I bought my Son (I had not bought any for me at the time). My buddy mentioned trying a course I had never played before. Got there & I asked him where are the golf carts. He said "Oh I thought you knew this course is walking only". WTF!!!! By the 15th hole my feet were killing me.

    That is one impressive backyard!
On another note...since I hurt my back golfing in Kauai about six months ago I've gone from low to mid 80's to low to mid 90's. I feel like I'm starting all over....completely bummed while on the course...lost my sand wedge to the lake last weekend(it wasn't working).
    Going to the range now.

Did they really penalize this Chinese kid a stroke for slow play? Shame on you PGA.

From what ESPN said, and the Golf Channel it was legitimate. He took it like a pro. That kid is much more mature then 14. He still has a possibility of making the cut

Yeah, I hope so....it'd be a shame to miss it by 1 shot because of this.

He ended up making the cut. Youngest play in Master's history to make the cut.

I played the Georgia Club golf course last week for the first time. Amazing course! As nice as some of the courses the pros play on tv. I found a deal on golfnow.com for $30. This course is normally $65-$100. I have the golf bug bad & wish I could play several times a week. Where have other TW members been playing?

A great free website for finding your true USGA handicap is http://thegrint.com/

Mine is 22.7 and I count every shot, even the duffs & drops. You can't improve, unless you know your weak areas.

I was using 30+ year old Pings (Ping eye 2). Just bought a new set of Taylormade Rocketbladez a few days ago. Hitting the driving range tommorrow to try them out.

I've been struggling lately with my irons & chipping. My scores have gone up drastically. I had my irons lengthened by an inch when I was in my 20's. I think they are too long now with my new golf swing, I keep taking huge divots or catching my club about 2" into the ground. I figured I could either reshaft my current old clubs or get some new technology. New tech wins.

The new Rocketbladez are more amazing that I could have imagined. Every iron shot was straight & about 20-30yds longer than normal. I hit the driving range thursday to get a feel for the clubs. Friday played 18 & shot a 92(43 on the front 9). I was playing the best game I had ever had, until the 13th hole. My chipping fell apart from the 13th on. I probably would have shot in the mid 80's, if it would have hung on. I need to get a Rocketbladez A wedge & Sand wedge. My buddy kept using the P wedge & asking me to sell it to him. He was amazed at how well the clubs felt & performed.

If you are in the market for new irons, I say give these a try. I lucked up & found this set preowned (looks like they never were hit outside) at the PGA superstore & got them for half price of a new set.
