    I stayed away from a "varnish" of sorts because it creates a film finish on the top. This is a product that is heavily used in Europe. It is a penetrating Oil with the color in it. So it was a 1 step product with color and sealer in one. It was very easy to put on and get a consistant color. I would recommend it to anyone, especially anyone with dogs. It allows the hardness of the wood to do the work not the finish. The finish is not as strong as the wood.

    yeah, i research stuff too much sometimes, but it pays off. I love the look of the floor. It has an awesome feel to it as well.
