Obviously your truck doesn't have to deal with a winter environment and and it doesn't leave the street....

    But that's ok, I'm just jealous. ;)
    Nicely done!

You're right on both accounts. Very rarely does it leave the street unless it's to get to a place to launch my kayak. And winters are usually pretty mild here. It only snowed 3 times here last winter.

damn nice.. could you come up north do mine? if you still bored hahaha..
oh ya cute kid you got there.
I just waxed mine about two weeks ago.. now it needs a quick cleaning again and a major inside cleaning soon. Here in NY, I always use the car wash center to wash the underbelly during the winter. so no worries here.

Yea bring your truck to Ontario for a whole winter and there's no way it'll will ever look like that again. Salt eats everything around here.

Congrats on your sobriety, great motivational factor you got there. :)

Been like 4 yrs for me, i do alot of wrenching and cleaning in my carport on my boat and truck as well. It keeps me occupied and makes me feel really good at the end of the day about what i have acomplished. I knock back alot of soda and monsters though. The best part of it is at the end of the day me and my family can hop in and go wherever we want with no worries. Awsome job! Sobriety gets easy with time. Eventually it will just be a bad memory. I hardly think about it anymore.

Thats good to hear man. I've noticed that as long as I have something to occupy my time then I'm good. It's the times when everything is silent things still haunt my memories. PTSD is a really tough thing but it is only worse if you handle it in a self destructive way.

Honestly I haven't missed it and it was actually easier to quit than I thought. That said, I had no where to go but up.

The truck looks incredible! Nice job!
BTW, under the hood, what is the module with all the lines running from it on the passenger side?

Your brake actuator ABS motor. When you take off and hit 2-3 mph you should hear it run for just a second. That is the ABS checking itself.

Shit I hope I don't have to find out about it.

On a side note I walked out into the garage the other night only to hear what sounded like the neighbors air compressor only to find out it wasn't. I narrowed it down to the rear of the FR-S and freaked the fuck out because I thought it was the fuel pump still running. Come to find out, it is a normal thing. About 5 hrs after you turn it off there is a evaporation pump that kicks on for 5-10 mins. Didn't know that until I looked it up on the internet and was pointed to the page in the owners manual where it talks about it. The internet is a wonderful thing especially for people like me that don't actually "read" the owners manual. I just let others do it for me ;)

From what I have read it was a rough idle situation that the ECM overcompensated for and would stall the vehicle. There is a reflash out now but mine (so far) has run perfect so until it doesn't I'll let it be.

Underside looks great however with the K&N air filter, the inside of your engine might not be as clean...............

Oh man... I won't even begin to get into that argument. There are so many different test out there that contradict each other that one could make as many different arguments and points for all different types of filters. I just know that my "post" filter before going into the engine is clean and that is good enough for me. I have used K&N in every vehicle that I have owned without any issue and I will keep on doing it. It's a fine balance between airflow and filtration and I believe I have found it.
Very few companies survive the media hype without having something to back up their claims and K&N has been around since I have been driving. I have no issue with them personally.

The same thing could be said for oil filters (which by the way has been argued on here ad nauseum). I chose to either use OEM or Bosh because I "personally" believe them to be the best. My opinion only.

You will also get as many different opinions on oil types and what octane fuel to use and which station is the best. Opinions are like assholes... everyone has one.;)

Nice cleaning job. Great motivating factor for sobriety. 11 years here no drugs no alcohol, best thing I've ever done for myself. How do you like those fierce MT's, for a street truck them's aggressive tires. Looking into these for mine, size, milage, noise? Wash my truck almost every weekend, dirty in 1 day...

I love the look. They are a 10 ply tire so they ride a little more rough than stock but the suspension takes up some of that. Mileage has suffered maybe 2mpg since putting them on. Stock size. And the noise at 40mph is (I won't lie) loud! Lets just say that you can't sneak up on someone with these tires lol. Wheel / Tire combo was about $1500 installed with lifetime road hazard and rotation.

As far as the sobriety goes. Thanks. Life is much better now and I see things much more clearly.

Thanks, for the honest opinion, get them from a Goodyear dealer?

Sure did... If I'm not mistaken, and I could be wrong, but I think Goodyear manufactures them.
