Yes. Have you verified the charge is gone and not a failure of the compressor or comp. clutch?

You might be loosing your Freon. That what happened with my last truck even after I recharged it.

Hell ya man, I look on craigslist damn near once a month to find that exact rig!

Thanks for the help guys, I had tried to disconnect the sway bar but had no luck since the nut was rusted out. I know it's not really safe but I put the jack that came with the truck on top of the uca and it actually helped. I was not able to do the lift in the rear but it looks like ill be a desert race truck until next weekend :0

What do you have for the rear? I just finished putting in dakars 3am this morning lol. It's straightforward but a pain at the same time. Just take your time and it'll work out.

Finished everything up today. 883s w/ Dakar springs + AAL and nitrochargers all the way around. I bled the brakes today but I think there's still a little air in the lines. I think my calipers are making some noise up front. Or it's just lack of grease on the new shock bushings. I'm not quite sure yet. Anyway, on to the pics!

Before (Ignore the giant net, it's the most recent side shot I have of the truck. And I do have a bit of weight in the bed in this pic. Not much, but it is sagging a little from it.)

Overall it gave me about 3'' up front from where it was at, and about 4.5 in the back from my old saggy springs. I've only driven it a short distance but I have virtually no vibes from 0-65, but I have not gone past that yet. I still need an alignment and new tie rod ends on my driver side. That's for another day as I am exhausted. I was up until 3 this morning finishing things up.

It's definitely more stiff, but way more controlled and I think soaks up bumps a lot better than what I was dealing with before.

It Really Helps If You Have Two People. I Did It Myself Two Times, The Second Time Was Actually super Easy. I Would Be Prepared To Cut Off The Rear Front Hanger Bolt.

If you aren't really sure how the system operates, you should take it and have it diagnosed. It may cost you a bit of $ but at least you'll know exactly what the problem is. In another life, I was an HVAC tech. i still dabble in side work every now and then. If the compressor engages then it could just be low on refrigerant (which is R134A). A good diagnostic will show what the suction and head pressures are and give you an idea of the condition of the compressors internals as well. Those Quick charge kits you buy at auto zone can work, but can also cut down the efficiency of your system by under or overcharging your system if you aren't familiar with required or recommended superheat values. Just my $.02

Thanks! I think I happen to agree haha.

For sure. I could get the old ones out by myself but there is no way in hell I would have gotten new springs in by myself. I had a friend pulling down on the rear of the springs while I was prying the front into place. And I definitely had to cut off the front hanger bolts. I even cut the u-bolts on one side because I was lazy and had my grinder warmed up already lol.

Are you going to get larger tires Mike? That's a lot of wheel well gap you got now. :)

    Lift looks great

Haha yes I do want larger tires, but I don't want the power loss associated with them. I think I'll stick to 265/75s for now. If I went up in size I think it'd be 32x11.5x15 but that would require new wheels as well. I've been eyeballing duratracs in 265/75 and think that's the tire I'll go with in a few weeks.

Yeah I really want to stay with the 31x10.5s... which is why I'm leaning towards 881s and Dakar leafs (which should give me about 2" over stock).

And what the hell were you netting with that thing? Jaws?

Duratracs will be my next tire. Great looking and from what I hear great performing. Wish they came in 32x11.5x15 though
