Bilstein 5100's work well when paired with the eibach coils although they have a 600lb spring rate. I've heard they ride great but I'd imagine they're a little stiff. I run OME 881's with about a 500lb spring rate and it's nice but still a little stiff but then again OME aren't supposed to be paired with bilsteins. I'll be upgrading to the eibach shortly

You can get front and rear for about the same some other aftermarket coilovers. I have this set up and am very happy with it.

Your not going to get smooth and 2.5" of lift for cheap. Not possible. Eibachs and 5100s are stiff. As are OME 883s and nitro chargers.

Real coil overs by kind, fox or icon will be smooth. But not cheap at all.

Haha I can't go back to stock now. Especially with the tires I have. ;)

I'll definitely be jealous when you get Icons. I plan to go all Icon resies next year.

Haha no. Best riding would be the more expensive brands like Monte mentioned.

Hmm, I would have thought that even on the street they would still ride better?

    Hell no.

A nice coil over valves right will be way better then the stock billies even.

    lol have you tried this?
my truck rode (still rides) like shit on the street with aftermarket suspension.(icons)

and if you valve if to ride well on the street it will ride like shit offroad. and stock will still ride better. Lol

either way if you want comfort, buy a fucking cadillac. :p

Not exactly. Would depend on what type of offroading you wanted to do..

Judging by your sig you like go fast stuff. So yes that will be valves to the point it would be stiffer offroad.

If you valves it more towards crawling tho..would be smoother on the road.

So I stand by my state, net that it all depends on how you valve them.

also take spring rate and the purpose each company designed their suspension for into consideration.

icon king fox and any other off road shock company is going to design their product for offroad/daily driver weekend warrior etc. it's apt to be stiffer on on all counts (valving and spring rate to give you lift etc)

toyota designed their shit for street use because that's what 99% of their consumers use it for. lol
    ie; smoother street performance

Oil field truck with 250k miles...original powertain. Wheelers 881's/5-pack, Energy bushings throughout.
I have yet to feel a aftermarket lift that rides bertter than stock. OEM engineering > Aftermarket.

I ran 3 different coilover setups at low lift heights on my Tundra... Fox, Dirt Logix, and reworked/valved Fox's again. None compared to oem comfort.

Even on my Taco with the 881's/original Nitrochargers, ride noticeably more harsh than the original suspension.
