Governor ??? Can it be removed ??

    Installing a unichip lets you control the governor. Kind of expensive but I loved it on my '04 supercharged Tundra.

    Fwiw, pretty sure the governor can't be removed on the '09+ Tacoma because of the lack of tuning abilities

    When I had my 2011 xrunner, it was fully built besides forged internals and there wasn't a way to remove the governor besides a standalone EMS. And that's just a huge PITA

    Google unichip and give them a call directly to see what they have for your truck. They were always great to work with.

    I googled it and went to their home site all they have them for are the 4.0's nothing for the 2.7

    I'm running 33's now tried 35's one time that came with my wheels but they about ripped my front bumper off lol

    Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
    Fuck haters, we kick ass! They top out at 105 before the governor shuts things down. Quite honestly that's all the fast I ever wanna go in a truck, I wouldn't bother getting rid of it, you'd have to tap into the computer and all sorts of technical shit to do it.
