Americans did fine with reg cabs but they also have spoken (through sales) that a dual cab is in demand. there are lots of things that at one time were considered to be convenient, I'm sure the USPS was once super convenient, then comes along email. A reg cab is great for those who don't need the extra seats. Personally, if I didn't have a dc I couldn't have a truck. I wanted to go offroad, but i wanted my family with me. The short bed is perfect for some people, but my wife said if she wouldn't get anything but the long bed if it had to be a Tacoma (which it did!). If it were up to her, we would have got an American 8ft bedded f150 or something. Due to life, I needed a DCLB and I am glad I got it. I have no reason to want anything else. I am just glad toyota offers several body styles in the Tacoma. At least we have something to argue about...

Agreed Native, just seems like ...another person ...might've bought a bigger truck over inadequacies.;)

If I went through the un-fun of selling 2 other vehicles, I'd likely buy an dcab or crewmax tundra, but keep the Tacoma.

That would be sweet! I wish I could have two trucks. One 85 yota crawler and my taco. Or, an old yota with a solid axel and asking for a :shitstorm: here, a Titan. I just like the looks of those over the tundras.

Yup, you say you got a "brand x or y" here, even if it hasn't done me any wrong, its crapstorm.
For me, truck = work and some fun, passenger = suv or car, of course its not going to work for everyone or situation.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Access cab all the way not too long and not too short. If I wanted 4 actual doors to haul people I would have gotten a 4Runner.

DCLB every day and twice on Sundays!

DCSB looks like a salamander who's lost its tail, stubby and sad.

Double cab short bed FTW. Got room for my pups in back, room for my toys in the bed and can still bring a party if I decide I want to :)

The lamest out of all of them have to be Access long beds.

I've been considering doing custom suicide rear doors and shaving the handles :) :stirthepot:
