Boss traded his 4Runner for a new truck over the weekend. The 4Runner had a leaky head gasket at 170k miles. He said he looked at the Tundra, a few other larger SUV's and the Tacoma. He ended up getting a Nissan Prox4. I gotta say, the thing is nice! He said it was around $4k less than the Limited Tacoma and the interior is a LOT nicer. Toyota really needs to get off their ass and actually put a somewhat desirable dress package in the Tacoma. The Nissan has headed leather seats, locking diff and some other buttons I didn't get a chance to see what they did. Sharp looking truck.

It's a truck, not a car it should be truck like inside. I will admit the 2nd gen is no different from a Camry on the inside. My first gen feels like a corolla at some points but the interior is more truck like i think.

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
The pro4x is nice. I drove my buddys frontier alot. It was a DCLB, the turning radius sucked, but it had a little better pickup than my tacoma and got better MPGs. I wasnt a fan of the interior though. I also dont really like the look of them. He had one with the oversized roof rack. The pro4x is pretty nice looking though

I couldn't disagree with you more. That response, along with the 'it's a truck, it should ride like a truck' just irritates me. Just because it's a truck doesn't mean it can't be nice and comfortable and not ride like a hay wagon (as far as ride, the Tacoma suffers from the opposite, way too soft and won't hardly support it's own weight). I purchased the highest dress package I would have even if a better one had been available but there are a lot of people out there who spend a lot of time in their vehicle and would like a nice interior. The interior of the Tacoma is a LONG way from a 'truck' interior anyways. If you can't hose it out, it's not a rugged interior.

Well if you purchased it for a comfort truck and a DD and cruiser I agree it should be plush and ride nice. Like the F150 Limited they ride like a Cadillac compared to other F150's. Toyota should play around with air ride. And leather interiors

Sell that bike and get a 650 Honda. We Start at Walmart in Kingston and ride all the way to Borne about a 1/4 mile from the canal. The wood section is very very technical on a bike and don't recommend a beginner even attempt it. I love it the hill climbs are about a 9.9 out of 10 and 99% of that I'm fighting the front end to stay down. A ATV is fine but a bike is hard but I like the 2 wheels to challenge myself. Reaching speeds on the route up to 85mph. Table topping hills on the power lines too and not even knowing till last min "oh fuck....screw it"

Hit a mud hole yesterday up to my bars and twisted WOT this bike is unstoppable

I'd like my truck to have the rubber floor mat instead of the carpet . Easier to clean . :D

Loved my rangers. Get some weather techs and stop killing your carpet.

Carpet is dead . Weather tech are a waste of money at this point .

Eh, they're still easier IMO. I had the rubber floor in my Chevy truck and loved it. Too bad the engine was a POS.

I don't think I'd ever buy a truck that loaded strictly because of the money it'd cost to do so, but I'm surprised that Toyota doesn't even offer it.

That trip sounds like a blast! The trails I used to ride sound very similar to yours. There were a lot of very tight and technical parts, some gnarly hill climbs and lots of wide open sections. I grew up in the sticks so we had 2 abandoned gravel pits to ride in and there's an old train track with the wood, steel and heavy ballast all removed so it's wide open hard pack gravel to just haul ass down.

My old Ranger had that but there was no drain plug. You could hose it out but then you had to shop vac out all the water!

1st thing I bought for my truck was a set of Husky floor liners. Truck wasn't even a week old! Carpet underneath the floor liners looks brand new.

I had put a carpet in my Monte when I was a kid. I think I got it from JC Whitney fit was good and that would give you the chance to clean up any poss rust issues under the pad.

Interesting. My 92 has pullout cupholders that are below the center HVAC vents, and right above the HVAC controls. When you put something in it it completely blocks the HVAC controls. Was one of the few things not well designed on that truck.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Mike IDK if they changed up the interior but when I was looking to buy the Tacoma I also checked out the Nissans and I hated the inside of them. The dash looked very plain, most pieces looked like they were made out of the same material and I think it was about 2 inches less leg room in both front and back seats. That and along with the bad luck my friend has had with Nissans, I was staying away.
