There's something about the slightly higher location and forward angle of the sails that makes me think it's a better placement for tweets than from the fixed pod door panel area.

If I had it my way I would want the tweets located at the A-Piller, more forward aiming, wider and higher at ear height, it just makes more sense, but I'm not an audiophile so I dunno.

Hmm, maybe use a gauge pillar they make for Tacomas?

I've always been told you want them within 2' of the speaker to complete the full range of sound without hearing one over the other but I don't do it for a living so it works for me haha

Installed my painted and bedlinered bumper. Sprayed the bedliner when it was getting dark so it ran and sagged some. I'll fix it later. Can't tell from 3 feet.

Just ordered some LR UCA's for my truck. Just need to replace the LBJ's to have a fresh starting point for service record.

Yeah, I read all the reviews and was sketch out about many people claiming it doesn't fit in their 2" receiver. One reviewer even specified his Reese Class III 2" receiver which is exactly what I have.

So I drove to the store and test fitted it in mine.

Aside from having about an 1/8th on all three sides (bottommost obviously resting on the hitch receiver) the thing fits fine in my receiver.

    Bought 3 hitch pins also.

Did you make that rear bumper or buy it somewhere? Looks very well done.

Come to think of it... does this seem too loose to any of you?

I can't imagine how much of a racket this is going to make crawling over rocks

Used it to recover dsully's ride. Had no problems with it. Had it on this weekend in some pretty rocky terrain. Didn't even notice it.

You could probably wedge a piece of foam in at the top or something to keep it from moving around while off roading
