    Just buy a spare set of headlights so you can take your time and not have to worry about it. This is what I plan on doing.

    It seems like there's a lot of interest in doing the mod but a lot of trepidation as well. Including myself. Would anyone be interested in purchasing made to order sets of retrofit 1st gen headlights?

    I would be depending on cost. A few people on here will make them for 1st gens occasionally.

    Yeah was just curious. I'm no handyman but I'm sure a few tries and I could get these down to an art. I'd like to provide a permanent supply instead of one offs and I know a lot of people are afraid to cut into their housings. Eh I'll see. A retrofit is already a little expensive in parts.

    I'll tell you this: I had a lot of trepidation...but I powered through it and had a plan.

    And now that it's done, I am so glad I did it and there's a big sense of accomplishment.

    I tend to out-think myself, so that was part of my issue.

    That's exactly what I'm going with when I do finally do mine. Going to get the Halos as well. :cool:

    All of this talking about it has gotten me really interested... If I have access to an oven while I'm in New Mexico I may go ahead and do it...

    August would probably be the first month they'd start rolling out. Got EDC at the end of June and after that it's eibachs to replace my 881's.
