Original plan for Saturday was to wear jorts, cutoff flannel shirts, and mustaches. Think it's going to be too damn hot for that though. May have to wear something more appropriate for the heat unfortunately

I would not wear anything denim... 1 word, chauffage

When we ran, some guy had a massive teddy bear that he dragged through the entire course. The thing must have weighed a ton when he was finished!

I had shirts made up for my team (I was the captain). We got Nike Dri-fit shirts and they were perfect. We ran in August last year and it was almost 90 degrees. The water obstacles were a blessing!

I didnt do a tough mudder, but a 5k with water and obstacles last year. Do yourself a favor and get some compression shorts and wear mesh shorts over the top, adding a little body glide doesn't hurt either. Nothing worse than running wet and getting all chaffed up

I've got a friend ruining the Philly one this weekend. It's on a big farm.,I asked him of they were going to make it more difficult by making them dodge bullets while running through Camden.

Spartan sprint? I did the one at Fenway in November. No water/mud though, just double the normal smother if Spartan sprint obstacles

A lot better. I will have a better idea after ride home. Then they should sound better again once the panels are back on. It is amazing how much road noise you hear when they are off

No, it was called a "Warrior Dash", same idea though. It was a Yahgoo Valley, which is a really small ski area in RI. Run up and down the hill, swim through a pond/swamp, go over obstacles. It was pretty fun though.

Try and take the rear panels off. The road noise gets so much louder, then after some deadner and noise blocker, it is reallly quiet.

I wore what I wear for soccer, compression shorts and mesh soccer shorts over them.

The couple that ran the NJ one said the course itself was a LOT more mud than the Mount Snow course. The course on the mountain had very, very few actual mud pits because the mountain is all rock. Crawling under the barbed wire actually hurt because the ground wasn't mud, it was rocks.

A co-worker of mine did the 13 mile Spartan (I think it's called the Beast?) and it sounded 10 times worse than the mudder. His was on Killington and they absolutely abuse the participants. They got you wet at the bottom of every hill, then went through a tough climb and had an upper body obstacle waiting at the top of every climb. If you miss an obstacle or fall off, you do burpees. They don't give you water, whatever you start the course with is all you have so if you want water or food, you'd better be carrying it! TM at least gave us water and bananas.

At the 5k mark of the Tough Mudder, there was a big sign, "If you signed up for the Warrior Dash, you'd be done by now. But you didn't sign up for the Warrior Dash"

That's the next one I want to do. We'll see how TM goes. We had 8 people originally, 5 pussed out.
