What kind of BS is this? I have never seen anyone on here or the other forums I visit say anything like that. Pretty weak sauce...

So let me ask you this - do you think kids (even adults) should be held accountable for their actions? Or should the rules be thrown out of the window for the sake of a win?

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Weed smokers? Sounds like the Oregon teams in the past. Glad most of the idiots we had from then are gone. Cliff Harris keeps getting into trouble. Wheres Masoli at?

College football landscape is changing again. There are so many kids with amazing talent coming up from HS that teams can afford to cut ties with some of the trouble makers. Football is the schools identity now. You have a rebel football team, you lose students and boosters to the school. Less money, less everything else on campus.

We had players suspended for the La Tech game last year and I didn't ask other teams to look in the mirror. What's done is done.

I never said we were "holier than thou" only that I know this stuff goes on everywhere. But it's funny to me that we seem to get known as a thug team when most of our problems stem from smaller things such as DUI, driving w/o license or insurance, underage drinking, and smoking weed. Not downplaying it but compared to some other like armed robbery, barroom brawls, and assaulting their girlfriend makes our problems look seem small yet we seem to get a worse rap than others. Maybe it's just because it is home so I hear about more here and not so much of others?

Regardless our suspensions or arrest are mostly party related.

Either way I think it's stupid for these kids to potentially ruin their careers over this stuff.

    ^This

Let's not forget the star RB and his pal who beat the man senseless and laughed about it..or, well whatever. I am not going to sit here and justify anything. Guess our little partiers are the true thugs, eh?

The kids have this superman mentality that nothing will happen to them. Always has been and always will be. They should be held accountable for their transgressions. If not now, then when?

Y'all need to get the Athens PD in your pocket like up at Clemson. The cop who arrested Sammy Potkins last year is now MIA. Up there you can throw your gf done a flight of stair or hit her with a shower rod and its no prob.

So that's how it done huh? :)

Seriously though I have heard that Bama has people in place to help cover these things up, from the media at least. Don't know if there is any truth to it?

Well in our last case as already said, no arrest was made so the cops didn't really have anything to do with it.

Four Alabama players were arrested for robbery of two students and attacking one back in February. It was all over the news, and the players were kicked off the team.

Dunno if the "cover up guys" were on vacation or what, but that certainly didn't get swept under the rug.

Gordon Gee, tOSU President, is a f'king moron...

    http://bigstory.ap.org/article/apnewsbreak-osu-head-jabs-notre-dame-catholics

Excerpts from the article... all quotes from Gee:

    • "You just can't trust those damn Catholics on a Thursday or a Friday."
    • "... make certain we have institutions of like-minded academic integrity, so you won't see us adding Louisville."
    • "You tell the SEC when they can learn to read and write, then they can figure out what we're doing."

None of those players were ever going to "Play" any meanigful football for Alabama. Had that been Lacy or Mccarron you would of never heard about it.

No way to know for sure, I suppose, but I don't believe something like that would have been covered up by Alabama or any other major program.

I was just getting on to post that. Most SEC players don't need to learn to read or write. They just have to know how to cash those checks from the NFL in a year or 2.

Maybe the big 10 or 14 need to learn how to play football, then they can compete with the big boys.

This "all the programs have these problems but they cover it up" argument is bullshit.
