I had some bilsteins installed at 2.5 with stock coils and rear bilsteins with a 2" aal about 10-days ago. The truck was too tall for my wife and baby, so i had the leaf removed and set the front to .85.

I got an alignment done today, but after i left and made it home, i found out its binding or rubbing at full lock to the left. It sounds like rubber meets metal and something is pinching.

I don't know what is making contact with what. What are my solutions for this? Alignment not right?

I'm running 265/70/16 fyi and on the invoice from alignment, it said 245/75/16. Maybe that was stock tire size?

Tire size shouldn't really affect alignment. I'm kind of surprised you are rubbing with factory sized tires. Have you looked in your wheelwells for missing paint from rubbing (shiny spots basically) also try turning the wheels to lock or having your wife hold it at almost full lock while you look for contact anywhere. It is possible that you only rub while driving though. Can you post your alignment numbers? Maybe a little more caster could help you out.

    Front left Front right
    0* camber 0*
    .5* frame angle .5*
    1.6* caster 2.1*
    .06* toe .04*
    11.9* SAI 12.0*

I've looked in the wheel wells and couldn't find any rubbing marks.

Problem solved: The right side of the factory skid plate was bent down, that when i was turning hard left, it was rubbing the tire. Pulled the plate back and rubbing gone.

I feel like an idiot, but glad it wasn't a huge issue.

It happens. I took my truck in because it was making a horrible grinding noise. Turned out to be a stupid heat shield that came loose and was rubbing the drive shaft

You never want OE specks when you have a lifted truck. When you change the geometry of the truck the alignment should be modified to reflect this.

IMO your caster is horribly low. I would of asked for 2.5* - 3.2* with 3.0* being preferable.

Google "caster" and how it affects your truck.

Even with set at .85 setting? It WAS at 2.5, but i lowered it and removed the leaf.

all depends on how you like to drive. I prefer 3* and I'm lifted about 1"

I don't think you can even get there with stock UCAs though. I'm lifted 1.5" and best I can get is just over 2*
