Thanks man. I've had to use the winch maybe 7-8 times now, some at really extreme angles and it's held up fine. I relocated the horns so it is accessible by just reaching behind the grille, and added some LEDs. The control box is mounted to the center brace behind the grille, and has just enough room for the controller to plug in. It can be tricky when winding it back in, but I am OCD when it come to that.

I haven't had the front plate on there for a while and have never had an issue, but I put it up on the dash recently, just because.

And I still love the BORA spacers, I recently plastidipped my stock rims, and decided I don't need to buy aftermarket wheels. It looks much better IMO.

Thanks. That's good to know. My spacers are back ordered right now; but Lenny @ Motorsport told me that his CNC machines were tooled up for Tacomas and will have the black spacers in 7-10 days. I didn't want the billet ones, which would have been available in 3.

OCD is a skill !!! Don't let anybody tell you different.

Thanks Dean, it is definitely not as clean now. I need to go to town with a bucket, soap, clay bar, scratch-x, rotary buffer, and some wax/polish.

I have neglected detailing my truck for almost a year now

Hi Ben, I saw you write up on how to make your mounts and gave it a whirl. It was a really fun project for my Dad and I :D, thanks so much for posting that! I ended up mounting my shovel (little, I know :p) on the bottom hole because I needed it to fit under my bed cover. I went ahead and drilled a hole above as you did though, JIC I ever wanted to use it for something else ;). I have since painted them black but haven't gotten a picture yet. Thanks again and I love your truck, great build! :woot:

Hell yeah Heather! Thanks for the kind feedback. It was a fun, cheap, and easy mod, glad you found it helpful! ;)

Thanks man, feel free to PM/Email me if you have any questions, or need assistance with any mods you plan on doing.

On a side note, I will soon be adding the Dakar add-a-leafs (D29XL) and removing the 1" blocks. They don't really affect the ride too much, but they do put negative flex on the leafs, and I want to prolong the life of the leaf-pack as much as possible.

Will definitely do that, I eally appreciate it! I plan on working up to a suspension set up similar to yours, right now I'm going to do 5100's all around and wheelers 3leaf HD progressive AAL with 265/70's. I want to wait to go higher and move up to a 285 tire untill I make the move to get gears. I really like your integrated winch mount, clean and functional. Did your tires rub with the stock sport wheel before you added wheel spacers?
I have always preferred an AAL over blocks myself;)

Thanks TJ! It's still a work in progress (of course), but it does what I need it to!

He said he would try to get it out last week, but I haven't heard from him yet. You can expect a full write-up / review when I get it installed.

Added the Doug Thorley Y-Pipe last weekend. I really dig the sound with my aFe Cat-back - it reminds me of a 3.4l 1st Gen with an aftermarket muffler; much more throaty than before and not as raspy/tinny/ricey when compared to the triple threat combos I've heard (DTLT, Y-Pipe, Cat-back).

Trying to record an updated sound clip this week.
