Bolt up kits easy to assemble its a slip coupling style with bolt to fasten.
Weld kit comes ready to weld all pieces are cut to length.
Bolt up kits storage space friendly. Weld up kits a lot harder to store if not in use.

Not trying to crap on his thread but...I bought a weld up one a while ago and it did not in any way work with my softopper. In fact after spending close to $500 on the weld together bed rack kit, I had to spend another $200 of my hard earned money in order to get it fixed properly so it would actually work with a softopper.

The flaws in this design where brought to my attention. It was addressed as far as I know. Cause a refund was sent to you of difference . At that time the bill was not $200 extra.
Regardless of $1-$500 dollars extra of hard earned money spent, I wish you would have let me know of the added cost at that time.
