I am new to this forum so I hope I am posting in the proper location.

My issue is with the squealing noise in the drive shaft. I have already replaced the center support bearing last year. I checked for play in the rear u joints I didn't any play at all.

I was in the hospital for week and noticed this squealing noise after the vehicle sat for the week.

This squealing noise occurs while pushing on the brakes especially down hill.
I did fill the rear u joint with grease and it took a lot of grease. It has decreased the frequency of the noise since filling with grease but it has not stopped. Totally.

I have only been able to locate one grease fitting on the drive shaft and that was on the rear u joint, are there others on the drive shaft?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

squealing while braking is usually excessive pad wear on front brakes, I have 3 zerks on driveshaft, 1 for sliding yoke 2 for the dbl cardan U joints

I'm having the same issues on my '08. It is worst accelerating from a stop and while decelerating down steep hills. I haven't been able to pinpoint where it's coming from yet.

Then you'll have to get some audio up or something we could guess all day & how is being on a lift to check brakes going to tell you anything ??

The squeal is in the front I'm assuming, they're not turning correct ?

The only other "squeal" type noise (if we're talking about the same noise) I know of would be the carrier , but you said its new ?

There are 9 total on an xcab, 4x4, front and rear shaft.
    Front, 2 u-joints and 1 slip joint
Rear, 2 u-joints (front and rear of shaft), 3 on the DC joint (2 u-joints+centering ball), 1 slip joint

A common squeal from the drive shaft can occur when the zerk in the center of the double cardan joint gets missed and goes dry. It can be hard to see. After the carrier comes the DC joint. It looks like 2 back to back u-joints but there is a third zerk between them for what is known as a "centering ball".
When the ball starts to go dry they can squeal. Usually at certain speeds and light loads. Sometimes on deceleration, sometimes acceleration and sometimes just maintaining speed.
Grease all the fittings and see if that has any additional effect.

Just adding this for info, but even new pads and drums can make noise. The most common pad sold and used today is a semi-metalic brake bad. Now go back and read that "Semi METALIC" brake pad. that means that the pad material itself is made up of several components to include metal. Poor production quality can mean that there is more metal in the pad than braking material (cheaper the pad, more metal) So even brand new pads can squeal and squeak. I always recommend to customers to replace their pads with the newer ceramic pads.

All of this is a moot point of course if the noise is for sure coming from the driveshaft. A rusty universal joint will make noise, but still show to be tight.

It seems the wav file format has large files sizes even though the duration of the sound file is short, 3 seconds 324KB system only allows 97kb.

I have a recording of this sound and really would like to upload the file.

    Any suggestions?

After listening to this sound through the computer it sounds like a turkey calling a hen, I am not kidding!

The squealing is coming from the rear.

Load and force (forward motion when stopping) is not being applied when on a lift.

    Youtube it.

If you could go back and video the whole thing that'd give a clue to what's making the noise occur.

BamaToy1997 is correct in my opinion also, it's the brakes. I have semi metallic brake pads. Does anyone think using ceramic brake pads would be any better?

I had that noise also and replaced that bearing.

I had decided to switch to the ceramic pads too.
