With a strong enough bow they'll blow up the inside of the animal, but with a bow like mine (35-40 lb draw weight) it'll stun them so you can slit their throats and save the pelt.

i also forgot to mention that the spines on the side with grab the ground if you miss and it'll help stop it sooner.

 

haha yea i got my friend to try it and he said it was hard as hell but was able to get a fish.

So the company I was working for decided to let me go the day I was released from the hospital. They gave me no reason, just "sorry you're sick and possibly have cancer for the second time, but we're going to let you go." Which leads me here. As much as I love florida, I would like to relocate to Southern California. I have worked for Lockheed Martin in material acquisition and procurement and have great refrences from there. Most recently, I was employed as a parts advisor for an RV dealership. 23, no degree but some college. If anyone knows of anything job wise along the lines of purchasing, parts, or anything else please let me know. When I lived in Arizona I used to bow fish all the time on the dikes, just throw some popcorn in the water and they all come to the surface and then WHAM! Shoot the biggest one, or even 2 at once, lol.

 

I miss bow fishing.

Jason, most those rabbit tips are around 130 grains. I used to shoot a 125 broad head. But everyone now shoots less I'm sure.

 

I don't even remember how many grains my field tips are. Ill like to stay as close to the weight of them as possible

 

I think alot of the fiber arrows only run a 80gr tip. I ran a heavy ass arrow when I hunted, 125gr and 34 in arrow. You might not hit the exact spot, but the deer says "oh shit, that hurt". I hit one from 35 yards. broke 2 ribs going in, went thru the liver, stomach, clipped a lung, clipped the heart, broke a rib coming out and it stuck thru the armpit in the leg. Slow as shit, but a mack truck when it hits something.
