What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Dropped my truck off to get the carrier replaced under recall and hopefully a frame recoating. I want my truck to last. Every time I come in this thread I want to do more to my truck but I'm torn because I know I would have more fun riding a dual sport off road than off roading my truck lol.

 

Hmm, why is that? My stock rear speakers are 6"x8"s?

I do know my 96 Tacoma speakers were 6.5".

 

Love my co2 setup. Been on three wheelin trips and its done 6 sets of 33, and my wifes camry. Still pretty full.

 

Nope, my fronts are 5"x7".

 

My 2K has 6.5's front and rear.

 

So did my 96. I'm thinking they changed sizes for the 01-04's, because my 03 has 5"x7"s up front and 6"x8"s in the rear.

 

Took advantage of the recall for the spare tire lift plate...got a whole new setup FREE haha

Thanks From the looks of it, I believe it is herculiner, but it was there when I got the truck. I'd re-do it, but it's getting cut off anyway.

 

well frick! i picked up a plastic one from wally world for 10 but it bows out when full

 

I like it! What do you do to keep the gas cans from expanding/ evaporation?

 

Cranked up on my coilovers to get another .75" of lift yesterday, then went to emissions today. Passed with flying colors! Smogging the truck is so much easier than the car! (I have to swap wheels and swap cats for that)

 

95-00 werer 6.5"

01-04 were 6x8s

That's what I figured haha just got confused when others starting saying they had 6.5"s.

 

How did you get the recall setup?

 

I got a recall notice a couple months ago. And earlier this week got another saying they have a fix for it. I haven't gone in yet though. Mine isn't rusty
