I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
I'm surprised jalopnik is just now getting a hold of this. Most parks who host competitions have been doing this for years. Kyle can't enter because his barbie jeep is actually full sized. Way too dangerous. At auburn, if peoples rigs were broken, they'd still come with their big ass 5th wheel trailers with a barbie jeep strapped down in the middle.

Apparently 21 is the magic number... I have a few people coming to look at my truck this weekend.

I may have some second gen items for sale if anyone wants them, but I have to wait and see if I sell and whether the buyer really wants any of it:
    - Stock coilovers and upper a-arms
    - Stock springs
    - Overload leaf for OME dakars
    - Undercover bed cover, mounting hardware, and key for 6.5' bed
    - Wet okole seat covers for front two bucket seats
    - ATO hi-lift bed mount (no-drill, uses bed rail)

A guy came out yesterday and test drove it, has committed to buy it. Going to meet him at the bank tomorrow, so hopefully it's done.

Looking like I'm going to save a little money for a samurai by down/side-grading to an 06 silverado z71 with 90k on the clock. Paul, do you know anything about the $75 kit to fix the transfer case issue? Does it work?

Yeah, I really wanted a ford with the new 5.0 coyote, but I would have had to put up another 6 or 8 over what I'm getting for the taco, even used. This way I have a few thousand leftover after the change, and I got an 06 so there's no cylinder deactivation...

Read all about the oil consumption issues on the 07+, no thanks! I also drove one, and man, you can tell when it kicks from 4 to 8, it's awful, lots of lag when you stamp down until it decides to use all cylinders.

But yeah, I'm going to go back to shopping around for some kind of dedicated rig once I have a truck that can pull it. I could go with something besides a sami, although how cheap they are still appeals... I'd like to grab something for 3k or less.

There is an 88 Toyota pickup here in alabama with the 22re and a 5 spd for 2500. He doesn't have the title though. He said he lost it

kill it, kill it with fire.

I actually don't know anything about it. I wouldn't even drive the damn thing without trying it though.

What's funny is, the half dozen or so people I know with an 02-07 silverado loves it and has no problems.

Well, I'd rather chance a transfer case than have a spark plug change risk grenading the engine like in a triton 5.4... What can you do?
