i know im going to get flamed for speeding, yada yada, but its too late for that now. i have a question for you NC guys, got a ticket tonight in the truck, trooper stated i was running 70 in a 55 on an empty rural stretch of hwy 74 at midnight(no traffic). ok ill take that, i was speeding. the only thing i have is that since im running 35's now my speedo is def off but i had no idea it was off that much, my speedo was set on cruise at 61-62. how would be the best way to handle this? i took the driving class a few years back but im unsure if its been the minimum 3 year period between classes(actually think it will be 3 years a month after my court date in august?), buddy told me you could use a prayer for judgement or something..

advice on where to go from here?

As far as the speedo goes, mine will show 5mph slower around 50mph.....as your speed increases, the amount it is off increases. Around 70mph on the speedo, I'm hitting 78 to 79. I've use the Iphone GPS to check speeds.

Get a scangauge. They can be programmed to display mph and you can adjust it for your vehicle. I use it and my GPS to keep me 'decent' lol

Your speedo will be 10% off. I wouldn't use that as an argument for speeding though, since it's illegal to also have your odometer not reading correctly in most states.

If you have no violations in the past 3 years, you should be able to use a prayer for judgement. I would hire a lawyer to fight it though. Well worth the money, and they will get it reduced to 5 over if they're good.

    I have a bad review for Mid-Carolina Line-X:mad:
I called in on Tuesday to set up an appointment for today and the guy on the phone told me to just show up at the place a little bit before 9 AM today. I had my mom follow me so I could get a ride back home and not have to wait there for 4 hours, so she was wasting time by not being at work.

Anyway, we showed up at around 8:30 in the morning to be welcomed by a closed gate and figured we would wait because we probably got there a little too early. 50 minutes later, not a single employee has showed up at the place and time is just ticking away; so we left at 9:20 cause she has to work.

I don't know what kind of shoty ass business they are running over there because they don't have hours listed of when they are open, nor do they show up to work when you schedule an appointment with them. I ain't gonna cut these ass wipes any slack either, because when I am going to pay over $500 f*ckin dollars for their work I damn well expect to show the up and do it. Also, at least call your damn customer back when you figure out that you were late to work and missed the appointment so you can try to win your business back with some sorry excuse. They have lost my business as I am taking it to Line-X in Raleigh next Tuesday, maybe they will know how to treat the customer.

I won't be telling anyone to do business with them.:censored::frusty:

I feel you. I went to Dealer Options in Augusta, GA, having made an appointment 2 weeks in advanced, to have a hitch receiver, 4-pin pig tail, and new window visors installed. They asked that we come before lunch and it would be done before the installers went to lunch. I had a doctors appt to go to and live and hour away so we drove two vehicles and dropped it off around 9 and went one my way.

~4 hours later after the doctors office, eating lunch, stopped by a few motorcycle dealerships (had to look at the Ducati 1199 Pantigale) and rode back to pick up my truck. Exactly where it was when we left. It was an 3 hours before the truck was even in their install bay. I waited another hour in their hot as hell show room for them to install everything. 8 hours to install 3 items. They even used the plug and play style pig tail like this.

We are very disappointed with their business and even after explaining the situation to the manager he did little else to reconcile the problems than a meek "sorry, we've been busy today." The actual install may have taken 45 minutes yet it took them a full work day, 8 hours, to complete. Very unhappy with them and will not return.

Edit: But it looks much better without the broken visors and the hitch has already paid for itself hauling the mower around.
