got a bunch of things for sale, too lazy to post to craigslist over my phone. post supercharger goodies including v6 engine cover, intake manifold, fuel injectors, even the stickers from the sc kit...also got some brand new spark plugs for non-superchargered, thought i was going to hit the 30k mile tune up but sc beat it. used trd intake filter too.

From the looks of it, he didn't remember when you give a tread life rating in % you are supposed to measure from the minimum required by law, not from bald. I would say more like 50% left before they won't pass safety.

Still not a bad price. Those would have been about $1100 new back in the day. But they are discontinued now. The tires Chris got are the new version. Those would run $1200+ for the same size.

His price isn't bad, just check to make sure they have enough tread left to make it worth the trouble. And if you know someone that can mount/balance, all the better Also, check for any patches or plugs, and look at the sidewalls and beads carefully for any damage.

If you don't know anyone, mount/balance will run $80 to $160 for all four. Sometimes it's cheaper if you can bring the wheels and tires alone, not on the truck.

Goood point! Use a tread depth guage. 3/32 is considered "legally bald." Lol also check the "DOT number" which is 3 sets of digits like "DOT CTAY CC2 1508, which the last 2 digits signify the year the tire was made. Many corporate owned places cannot mount tires older than 5 years old.

 

i'll have some 194 RED LED's up for grab soon. (good for your 3rd Brake light). willing to part with them for food.

 

Very true! And I hear that BFG's and Super Swampers can have dry rot problems when they get older.

My BFGs just discolored pretty quick, no other problems with them.
