Lisa, Ben, and Brady: Remember when you were suspicious if I was actually a farmer? It passed my mind, but when I was 14, I was Wyoming Farmer's Market Vendor of the Year...for the entire state. Take that!

I've never actually seen any farmers at a farmer's market... It's always craftmans, gardeners and like food vendors with some music. haha

 

HEY. Not kids. Adults. I was one of the youngest in the state doing anything at all.

There's at least 30-40 markets, or more. Ah well, clearly I'm wasting my breath. That's what I did in kindergarten/elementary/middle/high school.

FYI: Don't flip me off/use it with me, that's not a valid form of communication, I don't take kindly to that... Thanks.

 

There's more farmers/Gardener's in the fall at the poky one.

 

that's pretty cool though.
farmers markets are pretty big here, since it's so easy to grow stuff

 

This is my 3rd year of doing farmers markets now... Americans are definitely getting more into that home grown fresh stuff now... finally broke my record last Saturday for sales

members of my family have grown coffee since the 1910
I live on a coffee and macadamia farm
but we have green onions, pineapples (SHUT THE FUCK UP EVERYONE ELSE) starfruit, persimmon, chestnuts, tomatos, poha, tangerines, tangelos and oranges

the Big Island has no soil, rocks everywhere... but if you find soil, throw something in it and it'll grow haha

 

We're just giving you a hard time man! I think my mind set on the farmer thing is that farmers grow grain, hay and such, not fruits and vegetables really. I know some have to grow some somewhere though, but it just isn't really around here. All the stuff the farmers grow around here you couldn't really sell at a farmer's market especially when you harvest it by the truck load!

if I don't pick off starfruit the tree literally fucks itself and breaks in half because of how much fruit it carries

 

Nah, no worries, I know I am a little unconventional of a farmer. Mostly, just pointing out that that is what I did growing up instead of other things, and that I know my stuff, and that I am qualified of my username haha.

My wife and I tried to grow another pineapple when we started our garden and nada... It died again... Damn things!

I will not lie. In order to get sent teh coffees, there is a rigorous selection process. are you up to the challenge?
