The Bakken Oilfield Picture Thread

In case anyone's interested, I got bored and came up with the idea to share with everyone what I live with and see on a regular basis, due to living in the middle of the oil boom (on the edge actually, but still close enough to see some action). These are examples of the awesome, atrocious, and purely stupid goings on that happen here.

If this were 2009, I'd be on my way too.

I was laid off in June '09, and had I known in July that I'd still be looking for work in January, I'd have gotten the fuck out of California before I blew my savings on the mortgage.

Called mom yesterday to tell her that she broke her leg just above the ankle.
Wearing an inflatable boot right now, will be cast Monday.

My grandpa did a ton of digging for the bakken sites. He said he saw some pretty crazy things too. He said its mostly people with more money than brains.

Supposedly there's a certain Norwegian production company that is making sights like this pretty common....well sites with black smoke rising from them.

Yes definitely cant forget about that... since im already on the way to the store for a light and 6 ft. of tubing I might as well pick up some deer antlers for the windows too
