I can stand on top of it without any problems and I weigh 155. But I haven't really tested it

I'll give you my two cents since this rack is pretty much the same design as mine before I sold it. The roof rail design like this spreads the load over the entire roof pretty much and structurally it is a strong part of the roof. The load capacity is really going to be in the design of the rack itself, not the mounting.

My rack was a bit more beefy than this with the 1x3 sections and a few extra spans for the tie-down tracks. But I had me and two buddy's standing on top of it with zero deflection. I weigh 160, one of the other guys weighs 230 and the other guy weighs 210, so we had 600 lbs up there. I was amazed how sturdy it was. This rail design for roof mounting is seriously awesome.

Here's how my rack was. Just a few more peices than Steve's.

Thanks for the backup there Box ^^

I redid my grille and front bumper today with duplicolor bedarmor. 01GreenTaco used it and I liked how the texture turned out on his bumper, so I snagged a couple of cans. Both the grille and the bumper have 3 light coats of bedarmor (have to be light or it will run, and have to hold the can like 2' away) and 2 coats if VHT clear coat to keep the shine.

I also did the factory alarm system mod thanks to BigOly. Basically you remove one wire and then you have a factory alarm, only in 2003 and 2004 though. Heres the red LED bulb I wired into the system. It blinks when the alarm is set. Also here is the link to the mod: FACTORY ALARM SYSTEM

I didn't have to have plates made. They are rails from FrontRunner designed for a non-US Hilux. They've been discontinued. TacoSkeet could tell you what he paid to have his made. Pretty sure JLee made them.

If you already have a solid model you want CNC'd, all you have to do is convert the file to a .dxf cut file and send it to anywhere that has a CNC. JLee did both .120 upright plates for $50

    A couple of updates:

I got some retros in this past week. Morimoto H1 kit from Andrew at TheRetrofitSource.com. Super easy install and they look awesome!

After the initial install, I realized how foggy my headlights were so I got this little kit from Autozone

God damn those morimotos look awesome on your rig! Your headlights look so clean...literally! :p Good job man!

Do you have any issues with high beam or any electrical imperfections? I'm itching to join the GB. I'm still a bit confused as to what parts to order but I know I want it to look like yours, I'll have to get in touch with Andrew and say, "hey I'll have what tacoskeets having"..lol :D

    Thanks Dirty!

Yeah it worked out great! The kit is so legit and of great quality. I had ZERO problems at all electrically or with the high beams. I was kinda worried I may mess something up, but take your time and its a cakewalk.. Took me about 2 hours

    Here's what I got:

    Ballasts: Morimoto 3Five (35w)
    Bulbs: H1:Morimoto 3Five 5000k
    Halos: No thanks
    Projectors: LHD (North American Standard)
    Re-sealing Glue: No thanks
    Shrouds: Mini Gatling Gun
    Wire Harness: Relay H4/9003

One more small thing to update. I got my 194 LED bulbs in today for my dash cluster, I was just waiting until dark to snap a pic.

    Thanks man those look great!!

Very nice! LED interior lights are one of the best mods I've done. You should do the dome and map lights too, if you haven't already. Looks amazing and so bright!

Best pic I have. Green light is from a street light but you can see how bright the leds are. Amazingly they only have 2 led's per pod. I put an 8 (i think) led board in the dome since this pic.

I know! i love the LEDS in the cab, but I had the whole resistor problem and before I knew how to fix it, I gave them away. So I'll be ordering some soon and getting those in. Looks good!

Resistor problem? I had no issue at all. Every led I installed (dash, hvac controls, shifter, dome, map, license plate, key ring) was plug and play. Maybe its a difference between your model and mine?
