I ordered some oem brake pads for my 2007 tacoma. The pad part number I got is 04465-az001-tm. When I doubled checked the number online it belongs to a Toyota Tundra pad number..
The back of the pad matches my pads that are on the truck now, but the brake pad(ceramic portion) appears different. Did I just get the wrong set of pads or do these interchange?

I am trying to do some fact finding before I call the retailer. Any info would be appreciated..

    Thanks,
    Mike.

Neither yet. Have not gotten the ceramic ones yet. paid for them a coupla days ago. Both look like they will fit and work. Probably be same, just less dusting with ceramic. Mine aren't all the way worn yet but at 86k and they looked to be at quarter to third of pad left last ime I rotated tires a few months ago.

Mine are on north side of town early this morning per tracking and will be doing tire rotation this wknd so I will see how soon I need to replace. So tempted to put the ss brake lines on then too but they are 2 inch extended ones for my old truck that was lifted much more than the current one so I may just sell the set instead. Thanks for update...........

I think these are what I picked up from my dealer on Monday, for $109. I should have ordered them online.

    Replacing brake pads tomorrow.

Did you get the anti-squeal shim kit too? The pads do not come with them.

They both should work just fine. The ceramics will have less dust, but in my experience they tend to fade worse if you tow heavy loads. If you arent towing anything then I say just get whichever set you can get the best deal on. I went with the 04070, I got them at the dealer for about $65. You can find them cheaper on eBay a lot of the time.

I also looked on eBay, I saw two or three sets of the 04465-04070. They were all $75 or more plus shipping, so you would be better off to get them at the dealership. If I were you I think I would give the ceramics a try, toyota tends to have good quality parts, I don't think you can go wrong with either set.
