Tried 3 times to wax it. But, as everyone knows, washing/waxing a vehicle is the most efficient form of rain dance known to man. Got the top done, it started to rain. When it stopped, I did the hood and the rain came again. Got the tailgate started. Guess what? Yup, more rain.

I gave up and drank a beer (Yuengling Black & Tan).

Finally got around to installing the suspension! Like a doofus, I forgot to get before/after pictures as well as measurements. I'm really happy with the way the truck looks and performs. Smooth, but firm ride (very close to stock, but a tighter feeling). I was able to get the lift done, as well as swapping my old stuff onto my wife's 4Runner with a few friends in just a little over 3 hours. The pictures are pretty bad, so I'll try and snap some better ones at a later point in time.

Found my rubbing culprit and removed the in front of the wheel "flap" and reinstalled the mud flaps on the front using the shorter 2010 flaps rather than the rapunzelesque 2012-13 flap

Washed it. Gotta get some wax on it tomorrow, and see if the chik-fil-a girl will help me get her dirty.

Good luck with the chik-fil-a chickie LOL

I tightened a heat shield that slipped down over the bolt and was one of two suspects in a rattle that was driving me crazy. The other culprit, the cat converter, I couldn't get the bolt out so wrapped the shield with a wire coat hanger...oh well. No more rattle. Then I did the ac discharge mod gave her a bath and drank a beer or three in celebration!

My heat shields did the same. Some cheap washers fixed it right up.

Makes a loud rattle for how flimsy they are! Thought at first it was my O2 sensor, sounded like when that was rattling on my 2000.

Oh, I put my locking gas cap on today too. Doesn't look like many other people got to work on their tacos today....slackers LMAO

Thanks! I've had them on there for nearly a year and picked up some lug wrench marks when getting them rotated and balanced the other day.

You can get that light from a GMC or Silverado. My dad has one in his 1993 GMC sierra.

I installed my ToyTec ULK, LR UCAs, and Dakars today. I pulled the truck into the driveway at noon (got home @ 5am from my night shift). And it took me about 9 hours to do it, not including a run to the store to pick up a 32mm socket for the new ball joints & a meal break. It was all very easy, just a lot to do.

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370239339.518764.jpg

I still need to adjust the bilsteins another inch to get my full 3" of lift. It looks like I got a 2 1/2" lift from the Dakars.

My kit came with 3* axle shims, but they were wrong. The hole was too small for the center pins & the pins were too short anyway. So I skipped them.

    This just not gonna work!

Dakar next to the stock Sport spring
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370239545.884637.jpg

I took a test drive at various speeds and didn't notice any driveline vibes - I don't think. (I might have a tiny one around 38mph, but I'm not sure - time will tell).

I was impressed with the ride. I think it might be a little more comfortable than the stock Sport suspension. We'll see what happens after I level the front end tomorrow. I also took it over a few speed bumps and NO clunks. Bonus. Now for an alignment after the leveling.

I'll take some more pictures in the daylight tomorrow.

I'm still waiting my Bora spacers. Then I can put on Duratrac 285/70-17s onto my stock wheels!

With that style of shim I think you need to clamp the pack , remove the centre pin and put it through the shim them reinstall them onto the bottom of the leaf pack leaving the head of the centre pin exposed

Ohhhh. That makes a lot of sense! I'll try that. Thank you OZ. Then the centre (you like that?) pin will be correct also.

Installed a set of OEM D-rings in the bed.

Oh yeah: and I removed the (to me) annoying mud flaps! IF I get chips, I'll Line-X it.
