If you're training as a distance biker, I can see training on a nice bike, but if you're just biking to stay in shape, no need for high end race bike.

 

Not unless you regularly do ride 10 miles or more on that beast..but I guess that's distance too even though not a "race" per se.

I raced BMX for years as a kid. Had a few nice bikes, I loved my Schwinn Predator Free Form EX that got stolen.

 

Sometimes I wish I still had my GT Performer or my GT Vertico. Kept breaking parts faster than I could replace them.

I wish they'd make everyone spend a day on a motorcycle and also put them in a big rig and have some dipshit pull out in front of them and lock their brakes up just so they knew what it was like to have your heart jump to your throat

 

I wish you had the Performer too..those were nice. Come to think of it, I believe my current one is a Vertigo. Kind of shocking to have one with spoke rims..I was all about the mag wheels.

 

I never got around to getting mag wheels. Always had the spoke rims.

 

Other way around..was all about the mags except for my race bike (Mongoose Supergoose). I would bend the aluminums in no time doing tricks and jumping.

With you there totally..my dad is a T bus driver and even if that happens to them, they can be found at fault if an investigation determines they "could" have stopped it from happening.

 

I've seen Chimaira several times. They put on a great show.
