Hi I've been looking at the trd supercharger for my 08 Tacoma and I'm thinking yes I need this bad ass blower. Just wondering where the cheapest place to buy or should I get it from the dealer and also my warranty is up so should i install my self (I'm very macanicly inclined ) or do I need the dealer for something .also is it worth the money or should I be looking for something els like programmer ect.i have headers ,exhaust ,cold air ram air,o2 by pass box, lightweight flywheel already installed on the truck.
All your thoughts would be much appreciate thanks:)

    Build thread coming soon!
I bought mine off Ebay from Frank Toyota Scion in California. $3800USD, free continental US shipping. Had it shipped to a warehouse at the border and went to get it. Self installed- no major problems other than a spacer that wouldn't fit in the idler pulley it was supposed to marry. Just had to pay $15 for storage @ warehouse and pay the GST to get it across- $198.

This is exactly what the truck needed- better passing power and better fuel milage. Win-win!

I keep a close eye on the TRD Supercharger each week and the best price is still TRDparts4u, at $3890 for the kit. I also think there are some dealers that dip down to $3850 on ebay, but I haven't seen much lower than that before getting into something thats used and doesn't come with fuel injectors. I believe they throw in shipping as well. The hardest task in my view is installing the new accessory pully(s) probably because I haven't had the need to ever remove and replace a pully yet...otherwise its a straight forward bolt on and hose routing mod for a diyer who already has a good toolset.

If I didn't have to get some trees cleared this year...or get a whole house generator, this perhaps would have been on my list this summer.
