Tinting TRD decals ?

Has anyone tinted the TRD decals on the bed ? I've searched but can't find any how to's on how to do it. I'm wondering if the spray tint for headlight lens would work. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Just started blacking out my 09 I picked up a month ago.

Are talking tinted so that there is color to the decal but there is a dark overlay to it? Or are you talking "subdued" decals, where the only colors are black, white and shades of gray? Either way, I'd have what you want custom made because retrofitting a tint to decals already on your truck isn't going to be easy and probably turn out like crap.

 

I'm thinking all black letters with no color. I'm blacking everything out and like you guys said, better to do it the right way and not try to tint the decal on the truck. I just need to look for some all black decals that I like.
