how big can i get it?

so, whats the biggest and widest tire i can put without any rubbing on my stock set up?

How high can i lift the truck without needing to change anything else. i hear after tires get so big, you need to change other thingsoon
i heard somehting about gear ratio or something when it gets beyond a certain size.

well, you can't lift a truck without changing something. You can do coils, spacers, drop bracket lifts... The size tire depends on the lift. 285 (33) would be the largest I would go on a 3in, 35 on a 6in (all will require trimming to some degree however). 265 for stock. Hope that helps...

 

The biggest you can go without rubbing is stock. If you do 265/75/16s its very minor.

The biggest lift without having to buy new upper control arms is about 3 or more inches. (front)

Im not exactly sure for rear brake line extenders, maybe 2 inches or higher ...

Dday,on 17's the largest you can just bolt on is 265/70/17's.....No rub,no trimming.That translates to a .5" taller sidewall,1" taller tire overall.IMHO it's a great way to put a little muscle under the stock truck and they still look great with a 2.5-3ish inch lift.

 

i will eventually lift it by 3" or so, only more if i have plenty of xtra cash laying around..

Personally I like the look of the 3 inch suspenion lift. No cutting, just a mild upgrade. 285/70/17 or 285/75/16 would be the largest tire without some serious rubbing. I think someone fit 35s with a 1inch body lift, but with an UnGodly amount of trimming/cutting.

as others said biggest tire son stock suspension is 265. You can go up to 3" of lift without alot of headache, if any at all, and the largest with the 3" lift is a 285 tire
