We party barged the back of a 80 4runner with no top on and only on 31's and he took that line with our drunk ass in the back with no issues. must have been all the spare weight in the back.

 

passenger rear slipped off the shelf about halfway up which is what caused it. we threw the strap on there to pull the front end down a little bit while he backed down and went a little more passenger without any issues. When we ran Golden Spike it didn't even lift a wheel on the crack, neither did Dylan from Toytec in the Runner

DYLAN! this pic shows what i was trying to explain to him on hells gate... how come the 4link rears do that^ when drooped, the axle changes thrust angle and actually steers the rear end.... i think thats what hosed him on hells gate

 

rear links are to short. Short links cause some rear steer.

Well that was a tough week in the office

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved for setting up an awesome event. Bob, Jace, Eric, Cameron, Jim, and tons of other people, You all rock and I had a great time hanging and wheeling with you guys. ToyTec will be a part of this for years to come!

Also wanted to throw out a special thank to Wil, Cliff and Kyle from Sierra for getting all the shirts printed. It was great to wheel with you guys and i'm jealous of your camping setups

Yeah since the links on these are pretty short, the drooped side will swing forward and the tucked side is going to swing back which is gonna give rear steer. Longer links will reduce this but pretty much any rear linked setup is going to have at least some rear steer. Even leafs will.

I think the main problem was there was some mud at the bottom of the gate and that caused the tires to slip off the passenger side. I literally just sat there with 3 tires spinning because they were wet and muddy.


I blame it on everyone going before me and tracking mud up it
