    also, im still on my high from moab, and going back to normal life is going to send me into a severe state of depression...so the only thing holding me up is the fact that the epic wyo/mt adventure is in 2 months. you gotta give me some ideas for my bed rack haha. I want it to span half the bed length, have a shelf right below the top of the rack and the top of the bed for a full size spare, have space for shit to get strapped on the top, and the hilift and shovel type shit on the side. am I missing anything?

    Axe mount. Might as well. I highly recommend quick fists. I have some holding on the camp light poles in mine. They are great.

    Idk what it looks like so..not sure about the middle self part like Bens. I was originally going to do so,ething similar too..but am glad I didn't. Would be a pain to use the space under the tire ya know.

    But should be it. Only other thing is you could put the shovel, axe and hi lift all on one side. Then you could put some rotopax on the other side. Or figure out some other way to maybe hold a Jerry can.

    Other then that sounds like a good plan.

    And damn. I can't wait for the wy meet man. Will be my only wheeling camping trip this whole year pretty much. Stoked you'll be there man!

    well im hoping the rack is tall ehough the spare tire sits right above the bed line for the truck. when i packed my shit for moab almost nothing stuck up above the bed, if it did it was a couple inches so i dont thing it would be a big deal.

    Yea this was e largest turbo I'd ever seen. Least a 100mm inducer

    Right packing shit under is easy..

    But think about getting stuff out..like how little side access you'll have. That's what kills it for me.

    If you hunk you'd like it go for it man. Can always just cut it out :p

    Well mock it up. I was going to do this too originally till I out my tire up there..was like..no freaking way haha

    Also imagine it being a 12.5" wide tire which would make it stick don't even lower if your seriously considering 35s keep that in mind.

    But I haven't ever seen the rack really so maybe it'll be fine.

    ya. it would have to be 13" above the bed line to be realistic in holding a full size spare.

    we haven't gotten to the pics of it. but he had 2 boat seats, and we ratcheted them down to his rack and i rode on it on fins and we chilled up there at camp, it is epic and i want to be able to do that haha!

    And yea..so the whole rack would be like 14" below the tubing of the top rack if you used 1" tubing.

    14" is a lot haha that's like the same as my rack bed rail to bottom of the tubing.

    What are your plans with the rear bumper?? Tire swing maybe?? Or tire gate?

    If so then you could always just put the spare on top like I did in Moab..

    eff that. i wouldnt bother with a trie swing or gate. im building a rock crawler not an over glorified camping truck :p

    for lander my spare will be on the rack somewhere and everything I need to survive will have to be secured down...somehow. my truck is not made to wheel with shit in the bed. i drive somewhere, unload it all play, then come back to camp. i dont bring that shit with haha. i am trying to figure out how to keep everything from bouncing out. my only solution is ratchet straps over top of each row of totes to keep em down.

    rear bumper will be a tube wrap around that hugs as close to the back of the truck. got hung up on my rear on an obstacle on metal masher and don't want that again.

    Lots of crawler duds have tire gates..like cody is what I'm talking about. Could fab up so,ething like tony has too.

    And go buy a nice tarp. I still do that. Lay the tarp down in the bed and put the excess over the roof. Pack up the stuff and fold the tarp over it. This way it's wrapped in the tarp and keeps it off the bottom of the bed too. Then yea. Just rachet strap it down. Holds pretty much everything solid.

    Plus we won't be doing anything as crazy as Moab. It's totally different wheeling. Gonna be much smaller rock and obstacles. Just freaking rough all the time and have to watch your lines. But it'll seem easy I bet compared to Moab in most ways. But exhausting n others.

    But the tarp is the best way to keep shit from bouncing out.
