Hey guys. Sorry for the dumb question, and sorry if it's already been asked. I searched and didn't find it, but maybe I dind't look hard enough. Does anyone know what % the back windows are stock on the '05 access cabs? I'm gettin mine tinted tomorrow and was just curious. Thanks in advance!

20% is what your back windows are. If you do 20% in the front they will match almost perfectly.

I was plannin on goin with 20 but I thought the back looked lighter than that. I was thinkin about gettin him to darken the back windows too. I'm still not sure. I want it to all match. well, relatively close.

REAR WINDOWS METER 27%!!!!! You have to put 35% to match. The front un-tinted windows meter 77%. So .35 X 77 = 26.95. You got a match.

Thanks! I didn't want to make the front darker than the back (No Offense jhodge). That's really what I was tryin to stay away from. Excellent info!...even if it means I'll probably be spendin $150 for the front and back instead of $80 for just the front

Yessir it is! I don't know what I did without this site for so long! ha ha.

Well I went and got the tint done this morning. I told the guy to put what he thought would match the best, so he went with 15. This is what it looks like. I think it matches pretty well from the outside. From the inside, it looks a little darker than the back. But i'm willing to live with that.

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
So we have 15 and 35%? I want to get this right, I'm definitely looking to do this as well. I can live with darker or lighter from the inside as long as it's a tight match from outside. Does anybody have pics of 35% on the front? Is the stock rear tint different from the access cab to the double cab?

35% on the front to match the back, at least that is what the tint shop told me :)

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
i did 20 up front and its a good match. I wouldn't say its darker but it its a black tint where as the toyota factory tint looks kinda green to me.

I didn't think the back looked that dark, but when he brought it out to me and told me it was 15% on the front I was surprised at how well it matched. At least, that's my opinion.

It's 32% in GA. No one around here really has any trouble most of the time though, unless it's the GSP that stops em.

Every shop gives you a different opinion. 15 will not match, it's much darker. do the math. I had 15% on my front windows and ripped it off. I told the shop no darker than the back. They put 15% on... telling me the rear is 15%... NO IT"S NOT!! you DMF's!! for some reason these tint shops have a hard time with specifications and math. I called 3 shops today... all idiots. Found 1 that is decent. Having HP Supreme 35% Solar Gard done tomorrow. He only has 75% Ultra performance.. might try that on the windshield and rear. It's Solar gard's top of the line tint. mega expensive. $100 to do just the windshield.

^yup. That's what pissed me off. so dark I couldn't see out at night. I'm looking for something like 70-75% to go over the rear. Put me near 20% vs the stock 27%.
