    3" lift, 2010 black Taco wheels wrapped in 33" tires, Double-din radio.
    I haven't measured it exactly, but Im getting around 28-20 on average with a lift and 33" and 315,000 miles. Not the greatest, but considering the miles and mods, I think its pretty good.

    That sounds good. :) I like to hear how long Toyotas last. Did you have to regear your speedometer for the larger tires? When I was running 245/75/16's, the speedometer read 53mph when I was actually doing 60 because the diameter was 13% larger than the stock 215/70/15 tires.

    Tooter, Worthy's engine is off a great deal of the time he is driving. He is a moderatly extreme hypermiler. Plus he has altitude in his favor. When I had my 5 lugger at 8000 ft in Dillon CO for a week, I got fantastic mileage. The best I have had with a half full tank is 280 miles and that tank was like 27.6 MPG IIRC.

    Way to go Worthywads.

    I wish there was an accurate way to quantify the altitude factor. Some find like you and I that you can get awesome mpg at altitude. Others protest that at high altitude you are penalized because of up and down. For me just driving at 60 mph at this altitude will get me 30-35 mpg all day long. If I drive to Denver I can't get lower than 33 mpg in summer and 30 winter. The longer the drive the better it gets. Shorts drives suffer because of warm up. All that is without much engine off.

    On the other hand and I think I've described it a few times here, on my way to and from work I do have the motor off extensively, with many stoplights to navigate and time. I'll search through my posts to find one of the explanations and re-post. Maybe it's time for a new post for the doubters. ;)

    I think that folks have a hard time understanding that when we go up and down hills, is that going down the hill, we are not using any fuel. My Ultragauge confirms this, as going down any hill with no throttle applied, my ECM shows no fuel being used, as it goes into the open mode. Two weeks ago hauling my motorcycle through the Ozarks I averaged a bit over 25 MPG with a 1000 lb. payload. Coming down off the Ozark plateau into Jasper, AR for over 4 miles, I used .04 gallons of fuel. Got to love injector shutoff.

    What amazes me is that some of you are getting as good as or better MPG than my wife's Accent.

    I had a 91 2WD 4 cyl 5 speed Chevy S10 and everytime I went to the Smoky Mountain, Eastern Tenn and Western North Carolina area, I got upper 20's and a occational 30 MPG with a best of 32 MPG.

    PS. I really do not hate 5 luggers.

    Yeah Greg, the numbers are pretty unbelievable...but I believe them. Makes you wonder what kind of numbers they could turn in with your tweaked ride.

    My tweaked ride is just a work truck that's always fully loaded with tools and materials... but it's still fun to play around with. ;)

    That's really good for an auto... :) I'd be happy to get that with my stick. Haven't done any freeway driving yet so in the future that might help the average.

    So somewhere around those numbers.

    Not bad for Mid-Travel on 30's. Best tank I have had in a long, long time.
