Gold Lake Run PT.2 June 7-9

Knowing the the fire restrictions tend to start early around this area. And since we all wanted to go into farther and get away from the regular camping enthusiast . We will be crossing into Tahoe National Forrest area for camping.

I was thinking of a JUNE 7,8,9TH, RUN. If this works for any/everyone, just add in a posting of a coming. All are welcome to join. If other dates work better, feel free to post/IB me and we can see this through.

I have posted some mapping in a post below, If your interested in going just post up and I'll add you to the list. Bear with me here as I'm not to good with computers and can't type. Dealing with other sites on this also.

Yes, that is are plan. I will try to post up some info on this. Trying to make this official on the t4r form at the moment. they are having problems with there site and I'm not to computer savy.

This is the Lake we are attending. Will be trying to go away from it to get secluded from others. There are others that have been where we are trying to get to, coming.

We will have a meet up at Grass Valley Raley's @ 692 Freeman ln. 95949.

I'm in for a early start on this run, so the earlier the meet in Grass Valley the better. It is another 1.5 hrs to Gold Lake.

I'm thinking 8:30 am in GV. Need some input.

Would like to be camping at SNAKE LAKE per consensus of my guide.

A Sunday trail run would be probably early for us, as we will be packing up for a ride home.

Hey Leonard! Damn, I cant make this trip because of family coming into town. I know I could make it past that friggin tree now too. FYI...all of my gopro video from the last run corrupted and I lost it.

 

if i go up it could be saturday morning. what do you guys plan for saturday? and my truck is 2wd with a nice set of MTs. will i be ok?

 

yeah i don't think it will cut it from the video i saw last time.

 

Not sure, we'll prob just wing it, do a little exploring. I'm guessing Saturday we'll run Snake Lake Trail. If we do, you'll prob have a tough time. Got a locker? You're welcome to come up though!
