    Wow your sound system is like my digital camera. Really old. HDMI can be a pain in the ass sometimes too. Cables like to go out and they are about $50 a piece. So if it sounds great, keep it. :D

    Can't you just hook the cable or satellite whatever you have to the tv spot? Most boxes have both HDMI and the left/right hook up, no?

    Looks like your solution is Digital 1 (DVD). That is coaxial audio and I saw that same input on the back of your new TV.

    I see, get yourself a universal remote that you can program, like a harmony, and just hook everything into the stereo. Than when you hit the activity button you want to do, it changes everything to what it needs set on for you.

    If that's the issue your having, not really wanting to switch the source all the time.

    Also 1st world problems. :D
