well, I dont take pictures everyday, and when I do, it's usually a decent amount, so I date them accordingly. I also go through lulls, so it doesn't get too complicated.

Nothing wrong with organization, it's also a lot easier to upload photos onto a photo bucket or what now when you know the RAW file name.

Ikelite housing came in today. So stoked on my new adventure. Also picked up a sigma 15mm fish eye. It's not fast but it's going to be perfect for underwater. Ill upload some pics Sunday, I'm going on a boat dive to test it out with my photo class. seqemuse_8880c4949b7566445399e95145c8666dce0a10f6.jpg

Finally going to really start getting into photography. I've had a Nikon D70, but now I have editing software. Photoshop Lightroom 4 and Elements 11 all on my new Macbook Pro. Good basic starting point for me. I hope to get into photography professionally if I get good enough. Anyone else running the D70?

Exactly. My D70 used to be my Dad's. He got a D300 and my brother has that one now. He now has a D4. That thing is sweet. A little too big for me though. But he has only bought nikon and every one of them is amazing.

i have a question for you guys, i'm currently on a trip and take 800+ pictures a day, i load them on my computer every night and format the card, is it worth it to shoot in JPEG fine over JPEG? memory capacity isn't a issue as it's a 32GB card.

don't spray and pray next time, and delete from the camera. learn how to compose your shot, and use your camera and gear more effectively. I take bad shots all the time, but I make sure I delete them from the camera, that way there is less work on the computer

I can't imagine taking 800 pics a day, unless I was doing event photography(paid), and even that is a stretch. on a vacation, I take a couple of choice shots, closer to 50-100 a day and have a keeper rate of 75%. I don't let the camera dictate my vacation

if you are taking multiple shots of something hoping to "get" that shot, you need to evaluate why it takes you that many attempts for that one picture

Sometimes its a heat of the moment kind of picture for me... Something that wont look like it did at that exact moment or something that makes me feel anxious taking it, Like when people are constantly walking past you... Its hard if you take a lot of pictures like that.
