Soon as I can brotha! I'm ordering supplies here in the next day or two.. Should get it done at the end of this month. I'm gonna be out of town from the 22-29 so and just get my sling off like the 21.. So, we'll see!

Nope... cranked it a few times and it started up and he drove out Electronics freaked out though and the 02 sensors were fried.

My buddy hit a hole too hard in his 2010 Sierra, not even deep water at all.. Hydro locked it.

 

i was pretty shocked and amazed when it started

 

Sounds like that episode of top gear haha. They left the yota in the ocean overnight and it still ran.. Not to mention dropped a sky scraper onto it, etc. Can't kill a yota!

 

oh and parker im jus gonna have to tell you, after a couple lorcets the title to this thread becomes quite amusing hahah.

 

The only way you are gonna hydrolock a motor like that is basically hitting something hard and full throttle. It's when the motor sucks in a substantial amount of water while working as hard as possible that u get that instant hydrolock. I drive through ponds with water coming half way up my headlights and I have no snorkel but I also drive slow. Keep it in 4lo so I have plenty of torque in low Rpms and just baby the throttle. Sometimes common sense goes a long way. Haha

 

Well that would be my buddy's problem then.. He always drives balls to the wall. But thanks for the info I really didn't know much about that at all!

 

Yeah the mud has already stained my trucked, but as long as the innerds are still working and not rusty I don't mind. Maybe I will give it a deep clean one day, but I usually do what Chunky does, let it rain.

 

Yeah look up some videos of motor hydrolocking. A lot of them are someone blasting into a water hole, then boom and the motor won't crank. Lol damn retards.
