So I did the ATF flush bases on the service manual and what's as been posted here (2nd gen 4x4 dcsb). The weird thing is the AT light came on with a minute vs other posts suggesting 10 min. If seems to drive fine. Any thought? The fluid didn't feel hot either.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
How hot was the fluid to start with? What was the air temperature when you did this? The lower temperature for the light to come on is low and the fluid won't be scalding hot at that point, just fairly warm.

When I checked the fluid level a month ago, mine came on in about 5 minutes. As I had to stop/start the engine a couple of times to get the level right, the light came on in about 30 seconds for the two subsequent checks thereafter.

Unless it was really cold outside and the truck had sat all night, this doesn't sound unusual.

It was about 75 degrees out. The car had been sitting for about 3-4 hours since I last drove it to when I did the check. Only started the car again to pump the fluid.
