Same here, had the same vanity plate for 5 years now. If I had to choose though, I'd go with the Ag tags. I think they look the best out of all of them and I'm not much of a fan of the war of 1812 plates.

The "HOW" website is http://heroesonthewater.org/home to learn more.

They are on Facebook too - there is an outing in North Jersey June 15 and another June 29 at Sandy Hook.

I know they are always looking for help and they had a great event last Saturday in Wildwood.

I just signed up to help them out so figured some like minded people in here may enjoy giving back to those who have given so much for us.

I'm not terribly interested in parting it out. Mainly due to the time and effort of taking the stuff apart and getting stock replacement parts to put back into the truck, then finding buyers for each individual part.

Not to mention the truck is permanently modified in some ways. Sliders are welded to the frame of the truck, clutch, Gears/ARB air locker. Basically some major PITA stuff to remove, that would give me little if any value over selling the truck in it's current state.

If someone had the resources to do so, it would be worth buying and doing a complete swap of all parts over to a stock truck, then selling the rest of the truck with stock components installed. It'd save the buyer roughly 6-7k dollars of sourcing the same components piecemeal.

Honestly it'd have to be a situation where someone came to me and made me an offer for all the parts. I don't have the time to sell every part to a different person. I've seriously considered buying a crew cab taco and swapping over everything I wanted to keep. But I just don't have the finances to do something like that.

10-4 on that good luck with the sale may be better off money wise to part and sell stand a better chance of getting money back that's the bad thing with addons you never get out close to what you put in.
Just keep me in mind if something changes may be interest in some of the stuff you got like bumpers and such. Best of luck to ya

I've been doing this awhile, I'm taking a good beating on the parts either way I go, but if I can sell the truck whole it at least saves me having to spend the time disassembling the truck.

Could any of you marylanders give your opinion on what lift i should get. Been doing research and reading threads for awhile but lot of different opinions and hoping to get the lift installed this month. I really dont plan on doing much off roading, but im moving to georgia so maybe ill get into it some more. Guy at ATO auto sports in white marsh recommended the ready lift since i said i dont really off road. I want a 3 in lift, and have the money to do it right so the ready lift spacers seems like a cop out. But I really just want a higher stance and get some nice A/T tires n maybe new wheels? Opinions????

Anyone in here ever got a CEL with the code P2197?

I pretty much have had a CEL off and on since 09 and i check it whenever it pops up to make sure isnt throwing anything other then P0453. Today it started throwing P2197, if i clear it with my scanguage it stays off until i shut the truck off then pops back on a few seconds after starting it. From my little research its a a/f sensor, im not a mechanic but it seems the dealer charges $600+ to replace it and thats after the $115 they charge to tell me what code its throwing..

Anyone have any imput on how i should handle this? I am not sure its a bad sensor but if i can avoid going to the dealer to find out I rather take that route.

The sensor should be pretty easy to replace. It does require a special socket to remove the sensor. Looks like there is a difference between the right and left bank upstream sensor. Cost is $117 at Rock Auto. I am sure you can find it for less.

    http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?ck[ID]=0&ck[idlist]=0&ck[viewcurrency]=USD&ck[PHP_SESSION_ID]=0o2kvb79ecn7sgmj9rjqb422s0

I do have the needed socket but it is for a GM car. I have a feeling that this is a standard size that the socket will fit. The socket cost right around $30.
