Do you bring spare cv axles and other parts when you go to moab?

Quite a few people running the Treadwrights in Moab this year. Personally I am not a fan. I like the tread design. I ran several sets of the old MTRs on past trucks and loved them. But I saw more wheel spin from the treadwrights than any other tire this year.

Axle relocate was great. I moved mine 3/4" to the rear and a couple of times I still rubbed just a little in the front of the wheel well so I'm going to move it to the 1" setting and it should be golden. Definitely way better than it was before.

Agreed. The funny thing is that the people running the Treadwrights think they are great. I think there are worse tires out there but the Treadwrights are not a great tire. I think the guys that are running them would notice a huge difference if they switched to a different tire. Personally the tires I think the tires that do the best in Moab are the new MTRs, SS Iroks, KM2s, and the Hankooks.

It's hard to complain about the price, but to me its a classic case of you get what you pay for. Much lower price for a much worse performance when compared to other options. If you were only running mild trails and fire roads the TW's would probably be a great tire for the price.

    Nice!

    That's funny.

Yes. Everyone is different, but a spare CV or two is a good idea depending on the trails you're running. Other good spares to have are tie rods, and possibly lower ball joints.

I've been fortunate. I only had a single spare CV and never needed it.

Love that second pic! How do your brakes handle the weight of everything since the auto 1st gear low is pretty quick on hills?

They did ok. Coming down Moab Rim was constantly on the brakes and at one point I noticed a very slight amount of brake fade. Stopping briefly to let them cool seemed to solve it.

I feel like I always have brake fade :( I haven't really tested it with my new pads and rotors though. Hopefully that'll cure most of it.

I ran mine for constant power. So it's straight to the battery.

This is the best way to go. No power or very little interference.
