Just got '09 with 6 disk and iPod adapter, but the display does not show the artist or any text. Just Track numbers. Also seems that I cannot browse, but can only play from my playlists. Have tried with both 80 gn iPod classic and iPhone 3G 8 gb. Am I missing something? Is this how it is supposed to function?

Yeah, I've read in the forums about people that had theirs showing the artist name and such. You would think that would work fine with the iPod interface. I would also think you should be able to navigate through the artists and not just the playlists I have set up. Maybe they are using aftermarket adapters?

i do not think they will show the music info on the factory stero, since we do not get any info on the EM radio on it....

So you are supposed to make a playlist, then remember what number each song is? Doesn't make sense.

I have a 2006 Taco with the Peripheral iPod adapter and I can't see any text either. No biggee. Just turn OFF the SOUND EQUAL thingee switchin the iPod - the one that makes each song the same volume - and you will get better sound. I can advance and reverse songs using the forward/back button. Otherwise, I just control it from the iPod.

Thanks man I'll give that a try! They can put a man on the moon in the 60's, but I cannot see what artist is playing from my iPod, sheesh.

If you feel the text is that important, upgrade the head unit.
I do think about that to upgrade my head unit, but I just lazy to do it now.

Hey ggerdsen, I have the USA Spec PA20, it shows artist name, track name, charges ipod, and lets you select up to 8 playlists. Also has a AUX input for what ever you want, use my for pandora through my phone. I love it, check ebay for the lowest price ;)

I wonder if I can get one of these and use the existing cable from my peripheral to my iPod since it took a while to route it...?
