I have a 2013 V-6 Dbl Cab with 4WD and Tow Package. I am towing a 2003 Airstream 22AS that has a GVW of 5000 and an empty weight of about 4000. I do have an equalizer type hitch and it tows great! As others have stated, slower on the hills but very stable even with the 50 mph crosswinds I had last week on I-40 from Arkansas to Arizona.

    Sweet Airstream!

What brand and model of the equalizer hitch do you use?

:)I just brought it home Wednesday,

Here are the specs: 4560 Dry Weight 500 Tongue Weight. I have a WD hitch with sway control and Tekonosha Brake Control. I only went 50 miles mostly flat and it towed great.

2500 RPM going 60 to 63 mph. I know the pictures aren't great and I will try and upload more.

Went with my 15 year old nephew to pick up this truck his grandfather gave him. 900 mile round trip, 16.7 mpg the way there with empty trailer (est 2000 lbs.) and 12.7 mpg the way back with the truck (est 4500-5000 lbs). From just outside Edmonton, Ab to just the other side of Fernie, BC.
Didn't work the truck too hard coming back- left it in 5th all the way back, let it climb the big hills at part throttle in 4th. Never got anything hot[IMG] [IMG]

Wow I suck at this! Sorry, folks. I can't edit it and make it look right- the preview pane makes it look correct
