Mortgage lady finally called. Everything is a go, pending a certificate of occupancy and the final appraisal.

Get to work. Never hurts to practice. Little ones are awesome.

Depends. Up in the foothills with a very long, painful commute and far away from friends and the city, ~3000+ sf, 4-5BR, 2-3 bath, 3 car garage in cookie cutter development closer to Sierras. Or maybe a little space out farther in the boonies.

In the top 3 desireable neighborhoods surrounding downtown that are prime locations and worth improving if necessary, ~2000sf, 3-4 BR, 2-3 bath, 2 car garage, unique homes, older, established neighborhoods, best schools, great parks, ride bike to work, near all friends, fun in the city, closer to airport and Bay Area.

Pros and cons to both. This would be the home to raise kids and be comfortable and have space to do the things we love.

In SF, 500k would buy you a tiny dump in a dodgy hood. You'd be looking at $1m for anything civilized.

And thanks, but you can keep pumping your swimmers into the vaccuum cleaner.
    WOOOOOOOOOOOT!

Dick, you need to get ahold of some of the Montana Whiskey that Lisa posted. I've been to the distillery and it is some very good stuff. Especially the black which is cask strength (~130 proof)

Yikes...and I thought the Jersey market was high. Luckily I live in the sticks of NJ so my 4 bedroom 2 bath on a court with no garage but a full basement and 1/4 acre was 130k foreclosed. That's in a blue collar hood with zero crime, but it's fare share of white trash (I would not raise a family there.)

I would kill to walk to work. For the past 16 years I have driven a hour each way on a normal day. Once you add in shore traffic on Mondays and Fridays that can easily be 2hrs and on horrible days 3+.

    Quitter!!!!

I'm not buying  Besides, not available in Iowa

I still have yet to visit them. The guys from work and I have threatened on many occasions but can never seem to get together.

 2 hours!!! I get cranky if my commute takes more than 5 minutes

Yes, my home is the halfway mark from Philly to the shore. I'm 10 minutes from the Atlantic City Expressway. I thought the new job would be a quicker commute now that I'm not dealing with Philly traffic, but Oh was I wrong. I'm traveling 3 miles less and it's taking an additional 15-20 minutes on average.

I got pics of our sips office for ya. Ill start sending the to live now. We got it used off Flee-bay.

I went there with a pregnant wife last summer. They have some delicious stuff.

I can buy it online so I can get it in Iowa. :p

Yeah, we prefer neighborhoods where LOSERS DON'T WRENCH ON VEHICLES ON THEIR LAWNS!

 You got it! Might want to consider taking an extra week of vacation...if you're going to hit up all of the breweries and the distillery you're not going to have much time left for the parks.
