Wanna know something crazy? I work at CHOC and actually have worked with Colby, her mother and uncle on a few occasions. I haven't seen her or heard of her since she was discharged a few weeks ago but I'm really stricken to hear she passed away. She was a sweet little girl. There aren't many people that I could say have been through as much pain as she has. I'm really glad she got her last wish.

Holy crap, man...you aint kidding! That is either a well written story or a terribly sad story. I guess it's a bit of both.

To hear that she couldn't even see the movie because the pain kept her eyes shut...

To think that how her parents were sitting there knowing the end of the movie was when she was finally going to "give up"...

    To lose someone so young...

My prayers go out to that family.

As for Pixar and Disney...there is no doubt how committed they are to children. We just came back from Disney with our 1 1/2 yr old and were very impressed at how they do everything with the youngster in mind. Truly a great company! And they are so damn creative with their movies (Cars, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Ratatouille, Monster Inc). They are movies that I love as an adult and kids love as kids. They tuck in those jokes that are above the kids' heads.

I f'ing hate when kids die of cancer. That's just awful. +1 to Pixar.

The sad part was, she was in that level of pain for months. I remember she refused morphine because it didn't even take the edge off her pain. I'm just glad she's not suffering anymore. Poor thing...
