Here's the thing, most harnesses and the instructions that come with them are really dumbed down. They have you pull power directly from the battery so the lights can be used at any time. Personally, I like to make it so they are triggered by something that will force them off when the ignition is shut off. I have my lights wired to 2 on-off-on switches. The upward 'on' position only allows the lights to come on when the high beams are on which means they'll shut off when I cycle the high beams back off for oncoming traffic. The lower 'on' position allows me to turn them on whenever the ignition is on, still no threat of me forgetting and leaving them on and killing my battery.

As far as the use, if you want them to cycle with your high beams (which could mean quickly cycling the lights on and off), you don't want HID. HID's like to be turned on and left on. Cycling them kills the ballasts. That leaves you with LED or Halogen. Halogens are significantly less expensive so you might be able to get a little more bang for your buck although with $200, you can pick up a decent set of LED's also so that choice is yours. OKLED is having a group buy now, you might want to check them out. Their LEDs seem to have a good reputation.

I tried the usual like VatoZone, Advance, Harbor Freight, Home Depot, Lowes..nada. Yet the first 3 sell the buffer, go figure

Not hard at all..use a double pull switch, like OTRATTW has. Pugga did my fogs to the parking light wire, that works fine too.

I'll post a pic later, he got me on the PIAA bandwagon..I have 3.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Let me know how the satoshi goes. I was looking at picking up mesh from the same company.

Done a few panels, run a lot of wire. Gonna keep my mouth shut just in case and let you burn your own place down :D
