Looks like I stepped on some toes. Sorry about that. When you grow up with a bunch of brothers you learn to state your case and do it right from the shoulder, and I've often been accused of coming on a bit heavy when meeting people and setting boundaries that I'd like others to honor even if they don't think like I do.

For what it's worth, here's a photo that you all might enjoy from a newspaper article that ran my junior year in college. If being a straight shooter and stating things like I see them is a fault, then I guess I'll have to live with it because that's the way I am. And if any of that's going to be a problem here then I'll move on and cut this little side trail short before it wanders any further.

    Cowgirl-1_5043bcb847126a9085246ec21ef4c1da11f8e15d.gif

I love my family, my horses, my church family and my Tacoma. I had hoped to find others of like mind here, but maybe I'm a bit naive and trusting to think that could be the case. Time will tell.

Sometime folks here jump on someone strong minded and opinionated, please don't let it get to you. Like SS said, we like to have fun and hopefully not ruffle any feathers, except in fun. I respect you for expressing your opinion and standing by your values and I apologize if that quote offended you.

Take a look around, you will find many different types of people around here along with some good information. Along the way, express your opinion and get involved in some discussions. You might find some interesting folks and a few friends.

Heard that a lot in my life. Don't know what it is that people expect, but when they meet me seems like they either want to take pictures or poke at me with sharp sticks just to see how I react. Pretty used to it by now.

Apology accepted. I'm grateful for it and thank you for being considerate.

Beginning to believe that may turn out to be the case. Guys can be rude and crude at times (and for that matter so can us girls), but most have good hearts under all that piss and vinegar that passes for manhood these days. I've known that for a long time so I'm not ready to pull the saddle off my horse and trailer him back to the ranch just yet!

Welcome from south Scottsdale (we're not snobs down here in the old town). Not everyone on here is a potty-mouth hormone-driven young whippersnapper. It's hard to find a young woman with your Christian morals nowadays. It's a breath of fresh air.

Thanks. Actually I've met a lot of nice people in the north end of town, so I wouldn't want to leave the impression they're all snobs because that's not the case by a long shot.

I'm certain that's true. Some may be potty mouth hormone driven old whippersnappers. There's no escape from being hormone driven, especially if you're a guy. I don't fault anyone for their basic God given nature, only for lack of common courtesy and self control. I'm still learning those things are in short supply these days, which is something I have to keep reminding myself of.

Depends on where you're looking. Young Christian women tend to associate with other young Christians, male and female. You won't find those willing to stand up and be counted for Christ hanging out nights in bars or beer joints. You will find us involved with local Christian youth group activities, often in service projects that reach out in tangible ways to the less fortunate.

indeed so, I'm hormone driven just as mother nature intended me to be.

(if hormones were a bad thing, we wouldnt come so equipped)

Don't believe in first dates, at least not like others think of them. I believe in getting to know people really well in all kinds of social situations, in having fun without being rude, stupid, or crude, and in living life in such a way that when I get out of bed in the morning I can look in the mirror and be grateful to God for who I am and all that He's blessed me with; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

I struggle a bit in a couple of those areas, especially with patience and gentleness, but I'm working on it and God's not through with me yet.

Miss Kitty never had no cell phone, she did have donkeys though. If I remember she lived in the west valley off of Indian School. I used to wave at the asses on my way home from work, oh and I'd honk at the donkeys too.
