    Very true bit varrstoens are cast not forged

    If people are using their car for racing and hardcore driving I'd say volk is the way to go since they are lighter and forged
    Varrstoens I say are just for those who want the look I mean almost any rim can be damaged running low pros and having potholes but most of those that rip is from high speed driving
    I get what u saying but for a Tacoma that isnt gonna be racing $250 per rim sounds better than $980 per rim

    Aye i meant to ask ate you gonna run the XR wheels when ypu lift your truck again??

    Part of the issue with dorks like us (or me anyway) is that we drive pick-ups and we put wheels on them that were really designed for cars. Trucks have frames and are typically heavier, especially if you put stuff in the bed. For that reason, some wheel companies like the Tire Rack won't sell you just any wheel because they don't want to get sued if the wheels fail under the load of your truck that the wheels weren't designed for.

    I'm hoping that because I drive a regular cab that running car wheels won't be much of an issue. It hasn't been for the past 12 years with my last regular cab Tacoma or the one before that.

    However, I've noticed that the Varrstoens are really popular on the X-Runner Underground forums. Not only do their trucks weigh more because they're extended cab vehicles, but they also have ground effects and a V6 motor. Throw a bit of weight in the bed, and I wouldn't be surprised if the wheels fail. :eek:

    Well I never have anything in the bed and I am not running the truck hard so they are perfect for me.

    true it is made for a car but can't tell me a 350z is drastically lighter than a reg cab taco no what i mean it all depends tire package as wheel there is that BSP X with the green varrstoens who hauls other vehicles no problems i honestly think its the driver and the way they drive and how abusive they are obviously if people run 225/35 stretch on varrstoens and whack a pothole no doubt the rim will be fucked in the ass I'm sure OEM are stronger but thats the risk you take with any wheel you run
    Id still buy Varrstoens over volks even if they are forged i can buy 4 sets of varrstoens for same price as 1 set of volks but you do have a point no get me wrong
    haha o well i hope u and i both don't whack any holes

    Parts removed for color matching the bumper covers and mirror covers. While those parts are off, I think it's the law that I have to attempt the black headlight mod as well. If you look real close, you can see my 19's sitting off to the side :D

    Still not lowered, however. I'm waiting for Brian (StreeTacos) to send me the 3" blocks I ordered instead of the 4" blocks I was sent. I want to minimize the amount of sidewall that gets chewed off my tires :eek:

    How much did it cost you to get them color matched? I have a spare grill and bumper cover that I have been customizing that need some white paint.

    I don't know yet... taking the parts in tomorrow. I got a quote from one shop for $850. I'm taking it to the shop that did my notch and I'm guessing it won't be much cheaper :( I bought an OEM white grill, so that won't need painting.

    Anybody try this? I saw a thread on here where a guy loved them, but he wasn't lowered. Don't see why they wouldn't fit. Saw a x runner underground thread guys wanted to try them but the thread died off the end of last year with no results. Need to be able to move my bike and this looks easier to throw in then bags. My fingers on the trigger :)
