Any northerners given any thought as to what we should call our new state?

I saw this on the news this morning too. While I applaud weld counties efforts, northern california and southern oregon tried to form the "state of jefferson" back during world war two ... it still gets talked about but not much has happened

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferson_(proposed_Pacific_state)

Theres also wendover utah that wanted to get the state line adjusted so they could be part of nevada also because west wendover, nevada makes WAY more money than them due to casino revenue

Yeah that happened to a buddy of mine, it was cheaper for him to cancel and get a different company. They get you with that. It was because you didn't have two years or something like that isn't t.

they tried to hit me with a $600 dollar install charge with comcast at my new house, i ended up having to escalate it and talked to probably 5 different people before they waived all the charges. Mine was because the house was hooked up to dish before i bought it. Some of the charges were for setting up my wireless router, which the tech never even touched. That was all ready to go when comcast got there signal to the splitter. I would call and complain

I had a similar issue with our house. Since the house had been using dish for so long before we bought it, they had disconnected the house from their grid. So they had to send out a guy to climb the pole and reconnect it all. I paid that charge as it seemed legitimite, but there was a huge list of other charges that were just bunk.

bastards!!!!! always trying to get ya for bunk charges

yeah if the tech would have had to reconnect me from the street that would have been one thing but all he did was unplug the coax from dish and find where comcast ran into the house and use that line. Everything was already ran to a central smart box area in the basement.
